What can I expect from Barrack Spine and Joint Medicine?

Our team prides itself on delivering state-of-the-art services combined with our unique, collaborative health care approach. We utilize a combination of physical therapy, exercise, diet modification, medication and injections when necessary for a treatment plan to provide the best outcome.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please arrive to the physician’s clinic at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time so that you can provide us the necessary paperwork and insurance information to put you into our system.

To save time, you can also print the New Patient Forms located on our forms page and bring them filled out to your appointment.

If previous XRAYS, MRI’s, CT scans have been performed in regard to your visit, please bring the actual CD as well as report which you may request from the imaging facility. Please bring any pertinent lab results.

If you are being referred from another office, please ensure the referral and last office note be sent to our office prior to your appointment or you may bring it to the appointment.

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

No, you do not need a referral to make an appointment with either the physician or a physician assistant unless required by your specific insurance plan.

We are currently accepting new patients.  However, for your visit to be covered through your insurance please contact your insurance provider to understand the terms of your policy.

Deductibles and copays must be paid at the time of your office visit.

How will I pay for my care?

If you have insurance, please bring in your card and we will either collect your co-pay or bill you through your insurance plan. If you are not insured, we require payment at the time of service.  We strive to have all aspects of our practice, including our professional fees, reflect our ethical and rational approach to your care.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 48 hour notice for all procedure cancellations and EMG/NCV cancellations.

We require a 24 hour notice to cancel all office appointments.

Please be sure to contact us if you will not be able to make your scheduled appointment  to avoid having to pay a cancellation fee.

How can I get a hold of my medical doctor?

We take pride in our doctor-patient relationships and schedule plenty of time for you to get all of your questions answered.  If you need to get in touch with your medical doctor or physician assistant in between appointments, you may contact our office by email at admin@bsjmedicine.com, utilize the contact us form on this website, or call us 678-738-7601 during normal business hours to leave a message or schedule an appointment.

How do you notify your patients of lab or test results?

Because we feel you need a thorough understanding of your results, we review these in person at your follow up visit. We ask that you bring a copy of your CD from the Imaging Facility. This is available upon request. Only the written results will be sent to our office.

If there are results that are ordered by another physician, you must request these to be released to us.  Excluding life threatening results, test results will be reviewed at your follow up appointment. To ensure timely follow up regarding results, follow up appointments can be scheduled at checkout.

Will I be able to get copies of my test results?

Yes, upon request we are able to provide you copies with your test results.

Do you allow urgent or same day appointments?

If you are having an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

You are welcome to call us and we will do our best to accommodate you as soon as possible, sometimes it is possible to see you the same day. Please note that in order to deliver attention to detail and excellent service our scheduled patients, we do not see emergencies in the office.

What are your office hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Friday 8:30am to 12noon. We are closed during major holidays and weekends.
